Community Closet
What began as a small, year-round donation collection has grown into a permanent resource within the Rev. John L. Butler Education & Community Resource Center: the PDAC Community Closet.

The Community Closet is stocked through generous, tax-deductible donations from individuals, families, and organizations throughout our community. Donations may include clean, gently used clothing, shoes, socks, bedding, handbags, small household items, kitchenware, pots, pans, and more.

Community members are welcome to browse the closet and take the items they need at no cost. Our goal is simple: connect donated resources with neighbors who can use them.
Giving donated items a second life while helping our neighbors thrive.
Get Involved.
Donating Items
Donations are accepted Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

If these hours do not work for your schedule, please call us at (402) 399-9628 to arrange an alternative drop-off time.
Volunteering
Purpose Driven Advocacy Center is currently seeking volunteers to assist with sorting and organizing donations year-round.

This is a great opportunity for:
• Students seeking volunteer or service hours
• Community members looking to give back
• Corporate and employee volunteer groups
• Individuals interested in supporting local families

Volunteers will help prepare clothing, shoes, household items, bedding, and other donated goods for distribution to community members in need.

If you're interested in serving alongside us, complete the volunteer interest form.
Visiting the Community Closet
The Community Closet is available to individuals and families seeking clothing and household essentials. The closet closes approximately 60 days before each of our community giveaways so that volunteers can sort, organize, and prepare donations for distribution.

Our community giveaways are typically held twice each year:
-
Spring Giveaway
-
Back-to-School Giveaway
-

To confirm that the Community Closet is open, or to inquire about a specific item you may need, please contact us at (402) 399-9628 or email info@pdacomaha.org.

Together, we can ensure that donated items continue to serve families throughout our community.
